Shiny New Things: Birthday Haul Today

So, it’s my birthday today (13th) and I got some nice little goodies from MOH and his fam.

Obviously the biggest present from MOH was our trip last week but this week, he still had some cool goodies for me.

MOH’s mama and lil bro gifted me some cashola and some new additions to my wardrobe, which I have been meaning to go out and buy but rarely do I have time to do so. So they took the work out of it for me. Perfect to add to my waning winter wardobe :)

They also hooked me up with some cool pink slipper socks with a non-slip grip and a very cute beaded necklace.

Kinda wish the slippers weren’t non-slip ’cos I love sliding around the apartment ;P

Some new Blu Rays plus this one below as it arrived in the mail in the afternoon

the Bree Tanner novella by Stephenie Meyer,

a Glee mug and

the best gift of all, Domo Kun slippers!!!!

UPDATED: MOH just informed me that I have another 2 presents on their way- Pan’s Labyrinth on Blu Ray and something else which he won’t tell me.  this damn awesome little set I would never have even though about getting myself!!!

In the middle is this sturdy little jewellery box which has its own crystal encrusted lock and key on a ribbon and its purple on the inside (check next photo for particulars). On the left side is the gift with purchase necklace- a rectangular charm with Dare Me in the fragrance’s specific font and a Baby Phat kitty charm. The chain is gold with a toggle clasp (which I love ‘cos they’re so much easier to do up.)

The perfume is on the right, called Dare Me and smells absolutely gorgeous- it’s got coconut, neroli, magnolia, musk and some other good notes in it. Not too citrusy, not too floral, not too bakery like either.

Here’s the awesome box it all came in:

And to finish off that fantastic gift was a pair of Baby Phat earrings.

They are crazy heavy but beautiful and took ages for me to get the photo right:

Also, I finished the novella and it was just as ETR (remember my term- Easy To Read) as the other Twilight books. I think MOH timed our cinema going last week to set me up well for the book as I was able to envision the girl playing Bree in Eclipse to the girl in the book. We’ll get into that next Cinematic Times & Such post.

I’ve been mostly under the weather since Sunday so I didn’t have an absolutely awesome day but was happy nonetheless. MOH helped me finish off the day by helping me devour a pavlova in lieu of a birthday cake.

Will post about my early birthday present once I have all the photos organised :)

UPDATED AGAIN:

I forgot to post the other item that MOH got me-

I saw one randomly on an eBay page a little while back and went on about it for a bit. We only have two yucky semi-white boards and they are both pretty much chopped to death. The only problem is the sellers were trying to sell them at around $80! Umm, yeah, I didn’t need one that badly. But now I got a set so heck yeah!!! (I’m so materialistic even when it comes to homewares, hehe…)
