2013 Resolutions: Moving Forward from 2012

2012 was a good year despite some small dramas. I can look back and say that I feel more accomplished at the end of 2012 than I have any other year I have blogged about.

Let’s revisit what got done and got ignored in 2012

Follow the jump…

X Get my money right.

We backslid on this a great deal, due to many issues but I won’t speak on this. The issues have and are still being resolved.

Bargain shopping and trend shopping will be cut out for good.

I bought quality over rubbish this year so I’m proud of myself in this respect. I have stopped purchasing from eBay as I closed down my store due to fees increases.

X Take better care of myself.

Didn’t spend a great deal of time sick last year, only during winter really, when I posted about having the blues and then shortly after moving, I ended up sick for a week.

√ Continue to work smarter, not harder at work.

Work got better last year as I learned to delegate and expect more of my team. Am also starting off the year very well.

X Enjoy life and try to capture some of it on film.

We barely went out last year. I’m cool with that- we’re homebodies.

 Eat, Drink & Be Merry.

We did delve into some new dishes this year. I got hooked on Pinterest and made it my mission to make this awesome slow cooker meal. It was pretty fab. Plus, I’ve gotten all these ideas for chocolate bark so hopefully I’ll get to make some soon. In the meantime, our local supermarket began importing Popcorn Plus- which is chocolate coated pretzels, caramel popcorn and peanuts- we loved them! Also, MOH tried Midori for the first time at Xmas :P

Cut down the book and CD collection.

Still cutting down. Have thrown a lot out since we moved and I ave also been passing on DVDs I no longer watch to a colleague who loves the stuff.

Devote more time to being with MOH.

We bonded over Jeff Dunham and his slew of funny characters, in 2012. The couple that laughs together stays together :D

X Try to say “Yes” to all invitations.

No invites. Whatever. I think people realise we cannot be bothered with them.

 Storage: What For?

I don’t even know what’s in the garage. But I’m sure it’s a sight better than what we had on our balcony and in our parking space, at our last apartment.

I didn’t even think of the general resolutions I planned last year. I think I potter around pretty nicely throughout the year. Maybe this year will be a super crazy awesome year!

Anyway, if you didn’t see my New years post:

Happy Belated New Year!
